Recently, I have started peeing alot and feeling more tired (I can't help falling asleep in school, in the car, whenever I sit down). Anyone know what this means? I think I may be Diabetic, but I'm not sure (I've been for a blood test, and I get the results in a week..!)
I'm not sure if one is born with Diabetes or if you develop it...
My parents think I may be anaemic as well.
Please Help !

Lornie, those can be signs of diabetes yes. How old are you? You can develop diabetes at any age but in general those who develop it in thier teens/childhood have type 1 diabetes (meaning they fail to produce enough Insulin and generally end up needing insulin right from the start) and those developing it later in life tend to be type 2 diabetics (usually making insulin but resistant to its effects, generally treated by either diet or tablets initially).
The diagnosis depends on two fasting (ie starved for 8 hours before) blood glucose samples with levels of >7.0 OR a random glucose level >11.1 in the absence of confoudning factors like sepsis (ie infection) or recent injury/surgery which also effect glucose metabolism.
Diabetics are often also polydipsic on diagnosis (ie they drink a lot of water) but simple urinary frequency may result from many other conditions (incluing simple infections).
Girls can not unusually become anaemic if they have heavy periods, and anaemia also causes lethargy. You need a blood test to diagnose that anyway.
Wait for your doctors advice with the results of your tests. Most of all, do not worry too much, all of these conditions may be treatable.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Diabetes (type 1 or juvenile diabetes) can just "appear" in the early years, sometimes it has a genetic element to it. Anemia and diabetes both have tiredness as a symptom. Diabetes will cause you to drink a lot and most probably lose weight as well. No point worrying, just wait for the test results to come back...i'll keep my fingers crossed for you

You sound more anemic than diabetic, but you'll have to wait for the tests to come back to be sure.

DIABETES--DEFINITION
Diabetes mellitus is impaired insulin secretion by the pancreas and variable degrees of peripheral insulin resistance leading to hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). Early symptoms are related to hyperglycemia and include polydipsia (excessive thirst), polyphagia (excessive hunger and abnormally large intake of solids by mouth), and polyuria (excessive urination). Later complications include vascular disease, peripheral neuropathy, and predisposition to infection. Diagnosis is by measuring plasma glucose (blood sugar). Treatment is diet, exercise, and drugs that reduce glucose levels, including insulin and oral antihyperglycemic drugs. Prognosis varies with degree of glucose control.

High blood sugar make ya wanna fall asleep after ya eat. Try some cinnamon, 1 quarter teaspoon twice daily.. If it helps with the problem, your blood sugar levels are messin' with ya. Best of luck.

You haven't mentioned anything about your diet, eating habits, weight, exercise, fitness level, if you eat breakfast, if you drink coffee, your age- it's impossible to offer any sound opinion based on the fact that you're using the toilet and feeling tired.

Sounds like Mono to me.

You would have a lot more symtoms other then sleepyness and urinating. You would have rapid weight loss, also if the doctor suspected diabetes they would have checked your sugar levels that Day ASAP.....

You may just need to pee alot and be tired. Most people are overworked these days and the symptoms you describe are common.
