How can I help my son stop coughing?

He has a severe sinus infection and bronchetsis. He is coughing so much that he is vomiting. how can i help him stop coughing. All the traditional methods have failed.

Get a second opinion. I'm willing to bet that your son has Asthma.

I'm hoping that your son's doctor has begun treating him with an antibiotic!

He/she should also call in an order for a cough suppressant with a narcotic in it (like codeine) that will help the coughing. He/she should also consider having you bring him into the office for a breathing treatment. They can just put a mask on him, and he breathes in a steroid treatment used for the inflammation of the lungs. TELL the doctor that you want this done for your son so that he is no longer vomiting. Your son is the patient and you have every right to demand that this be taken care of immediately.

If anything like that has not work... i think is time for u to take him to the Doctor or to his pediatrician so they can give him something stronger or some antibiotic if he has sinus infection and bronchetsis i Think thats the best thing you can do... and don't wait so long becasue he can get worst than it is right now so take him as soon as you can because were talking about ur sons health i hope he gets better

I would take him to the hospital, or to his doctor office. When my son cough alot, I give him hot tea with lemon and honey, and night time medicine.It helps him to stop.Try it, and see what happens. If that don't work take him to his doctor.

talk to the doctor. my doc gave me vicodin/codine. helps you sleep and its a cough suppressant.
