The 80's were all about excess, so make your decorations dramatic and colorful. Look for paper cups and plates in neon colors, animal prints or black-and-white geometric patterns. Plaster the walls with posters of quintessential 80's pop stars like Culture Club, Thompson Twins, Cyndi Lauper, New Kids on the Block and the queen of the decade, Madonna. To really get in the spirit, pop in a DVD of a John Hughes movie or an 80's band's video collection and have it playing, on mute, during the event.

Mini Rubiks Cube keychains... You can find them at just about any party store. And some 80's candy, like Pop Rocks would be cool too!

First, if possible, get fluorescent cups and plates!

Perhaps you could hit the local flea market and see if you can find old cassette copies of various 80's artists music to add to some of the other good ideas you already have?

Hrm, this is tough and I grew up in the 80's. All I can think of is suzy boing boings. (Those headbands with the springy stuff and styrofoam glitter balls on top) If you could find those at a party shop, you could probably make a centerpiece out of them.
