I bought a bag of linseeds and I realized I don't know many recipes with this ingredient, usually I eat them raw over salad, or stews. Can anyone give me some healthy recipes with linseeds? (vegetarian recipes, if possible)

Linseed (flax seed) has a host of omega-3 oils, provided they're fresh and not rancid. Store them in a cool dark place.

The finer the grind the better your body can access the nutrition. Hard to beat a coffee grinder. But grind it fresh, they do oxidize quickly, and heat them as little as possible. If you cross the 42 degree celcius (100F) threshold, you start to destroy the proteins and release the second nitrogen from the glutamine.

Usually people add them to things they are making anyway. Bury them where ever you can, in whatever you are making, and do it towards the end of the cooking cycle. top a stir fry. smoothies are an ace. Remember, four tablespoons of flax seed (linseed) provides one person's daily omega-3 requirements.

Use lots. You can't really get too many.

Crispy spice chicken:-

Mix together 6 slices of Burgen Soya & Linseed made into breadcrumbs, 30ml (2 tablespoons) of fresh coriander (chopped), 1 clove of garlic (crushed), and 5ml (1 tsp) of chili powder
Dip 4 skinless chicken breasts first in beaten egg and then in the spicy crumb mix
Place the chicken breasts in a shallow oven-proof dish and brush lightly with oil
Bake in a moderate oven (350oF, 180oC, gas mark 5) for 40-45 minutes or until crispy. Serves 4

Go back to where you bought them; buy bags of flaked rye, bran, oats, etc, a selection of dried fruits, and some well-chopped nuts (almonds work well).

Mix; have with milk in the mornings. They're great, ground or whole, in muesli.

Also nice over yoghourt.

I realise 'recipes' these aren't, but -- just more options...

I put them in my coffee mill and grind them down. They blend well into a number of pre existing recipes(like muffins) as well as mix in with smoothies.

Soak them in some water, drain them and add to bread dough.
