You are 38, with chest pain, and your lipids profile showed high cholesterol, and you want to learn how to control it?

First off, what's with the chest pain? Is it new, or is it a chronic thing? Has it been evaluated by a doctor? If it's new, and hasn't been evaluated by a doctor, maybe it should be. Is it crushing, squeezing, does it feel like an elephant is sitting on your chest? Does the pain radiate down your arms or into your back or jaw? Do you feel short of breath, or nauseous? If so, you need to go to the ER ASAP to get checked out, as you may be having a heart attack. If not, you still need to get your pain evaluated ASAP. Chest pain can be kind of scary, and not all heart attacks have the same pain symptoms.

As far as the high cholesterol, that's usually controlled with a low cholesterol diet, exercise, and medications. You need to discuss this with your doctor, and develop a plan to treat this.

Hope this helps...

Do not delay. It is a warning signal. 60% of the blood circulated around the heart to keep the heart working. 40% gets circulated in the body. If there is any choke up in the pipe line, the heart has to work over time resulting in additional workload on the heart. This gives the pain. that is why the pain is a warning signal. I would suggest to start some ayurvedic or herbal treatment immediately.

First of all you need to go to the ER or Doc for that chest pain. Also, a low cholesterol diet , exercise, and medication can all help lower your cholesterol. High cholesterol increases your chances for a heart attack and also stroke. Just to name a few.

AA) First of all we must be aware of factors that lead to cause heart disease.

The following details provide basic information and factors that cause heart disease:

When many lakhs of cars are moving on the roads only a few cars meet with accidents. Cars with defective brakes, gears or non-aligned tyres have increased chances of accidents.

Likewise, extensive clinical and statistical studies have identified several factors that increase the risk ofheart and blood vessel(cardiovascular) disease.

Other factors are associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease, but such significance and prevalence haven’t yet been precisely determined. They are called contributing risk factors.

The American Heart Association has identified several risk factors . Some of them can be modified ,treated or controlled, and some can’t.

The more risk factors you have , the greater your chance of developing coronary heart disease. Also, the greater the level of each risk factor, the greater the risk. For example,a person with a total cholesterol of 300 ml/dL has a greater risk than some one with a total cholesterol of 245 mg/dL, even though everyone with a total cholesterol greater than 240 mg/dL is considered high risk.

NON-MODIFIABLE RISK FACTORS:

1)Increasing age
2) Gender
3)Heredity(Including Race)

MODIFIABLE RISK FACTORS:

1)Smoking
2)High blood cholesterol
3)High blood pressure
4)Physical inactivity
5)Obesity
6)Diabetes Mellitus
7)Stress
8)Alcohol

BB) Once the factors that cause heart disease are known, the person irrespective of the status of his/her health and heart conditions, can take necessary precautionary measures to suppress and eliminate the causative factors to avoid heart disease and prolong life avoiding premature death.

Therefore, conclusively, educating oneself about the risk factors, will definitely help to prevent heart disease.
