Well, I think you should serve Ice Tea. And Chips and Dip also some cookies, maybe mini sandwhichs. =]

Dips are a good option. Try a brick of cream cheese spread
out across a plate, topped with a mix of canned black beans, corn and fresh salsa. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with tortilla chips. Or check your grocery stores' frozen section for appetizers that you just bake at home. 3 or 4 types will do the job.
Don't forget something sweet. A cake can be baked a day before the party. Try to keep it light, like lemon or white cake served with mixed berries and a dollop of whipped cream

If it's going to be in the evening, serve chicken wings with different sauce choices available and some vegetables with dip.
All of these can be bought pre-made at a local grocery store or deli.
If it's going to be around lunch or early afternoon, serve finger sandwiches with some vegetables and dip.
It shows a little more thought than chips and dip, without breaking the bank or causing you a lot of prep time in the kitchen.
It will speak volumes to those that might purchase the makeup!

You want to serve food that you can make ahead of time. You don't want to have to rush around during the party.
Dips are a good option, but you don't have to do the "traditional" onion and sour cream thing. Try a brick of cream cheese spread
out across a 10" plate, topped with a mix of canned black beans, corn and fresh salsa. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with tortilla chips. Or check your grocery stores' frozen dept for appetizers that you just bake at home. 3 or 4 types will do the job.
Don't forget something sweet. A cake can be baked a day (or 2) before the party. Try to keep it light, like lemon or white cake served with mixed berries and a dollop of whipped cream.

These are some of my favorites:
Brie and Fruit: Warm a round of Brie cheese in a 325 degrees F oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Top with honey and nuts (or leave plain), serve with apple and pear wedges or crackers.
Fruit and Dip: Thread fruits such as pineapple chunks, apple wedges, pear slices, and orange sections onto wooden skewers. Serve with a curry dip made from equal parts mayonnaise and sour cream, seasoned with curry powder.
Pesto Roll-Up: Separate 1 package refrigerated crescent rolls into triangles and spread with purchased basil pesto. Cut each triangle in half, making 16 long triangles. Roll up triangles and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden.
A snack mix of dried cranberries, rice cereal, freeze-dried peanuts.
Italian sodas: Mix seltzer and flavored cherry syrup in tall skinny glasses to make pretty pink drinks. Drop in a maraschino cherry or a slice of lime. Serve with a straw.
White wine
Hope this helps.

Some of your guests may be health conscious, I would think a veggie/cheese platter would be great with some grapes in the middle of it, and yes, you can still do the cookies for something sweet. The chips dip can be included in the veggie/cheese platter. Only two hours, so don't stress too much!

For such a girlie event, I believe I'd serve chocolate truffles, something salty like mixed nuts, and coffee. I'm trying to think of "indulgent" things, to encourage them to buy "indulgent" cosmetic items. ;-)

I've been to a number of those, how about california rolls, cut up veggies and as for drinks, light and fizzy - mimosas, crystal light, etc.
