Yes, and often they won't even know they have it. That increases the chances that they will continue to spread it. People with HPV need to educate themselves and stay protected.

Once you have HPV you can pass it on at any given time even if you can't visually see the warts. The virus never actually become dormant it is always active. So just be safe.

it depends on they type you have to, depending on what kinds of affects it will have on your male partener. he may develop warts, but you could also be carrying a type that has no warts. those will take no affect on your guy. but he still can transfer the virus to another woman. i just found out i have hpv... and im in the pre-cancerous stage of it. hopefully it gets taken care of. its really scary, but your guy should support you. there is nothing wrong with it. and most women will get it before they die.
