yes you can but please dont be that stupid to do it, it can cause brain damage and worse

Nope.

That's what actually happens when somebody drowns. It's a reflex to inhale, even if you know you're going to die if you do.

However you can train yourself to resist the impulse longer. For that you practice holding your breath as long as you can, regularly. That way you're able to withstand more CO2 in your bloodstream (the breathing impulse does not come from lack of oxygen but from CO2 accumulation). That's what divers do.

No, when you get close to critical oxygen deprivation your body's unconscious regulation will take over and force you to breathe. Unless you are somehow unable to breathe (head trauma or something to suffocate) your body won't let you die or pass out.

At least that's what they taught us in school. :)

Yes. Your brain will start to go into this closing mode and it will knock you out, so the brain will start to get some oxygen again.

Yep. Oxygen deprivation will do it.

You'll also have a pretty good headache.
