It has just been stated that he cut funding as of 02/05/07 for diabetes research and prevention funding in fiscal year 2008!!!!!!!!!! I mean, what the he**? Over 20 million people (recorded people) in the US have diabetes and he wants to cut what was already not enough money? Any input?

All the federal funding for diabetes has netted us what? Getting rid of Bush is not going to cure this problem any more than antidepressants cure depression. Are you suggesting we put a democrat in there? That ain't gonna help the diabetes situation one bit better. Throwing money at a problem does very little other than make undeserving people rich.

I found far more help than the government ever provided in a simple ten dollar book outlined here:

Bush or no Bush diabetes in the majority of type 2 diabetics is not only preventable but curable. So funding for what research?..its not a big mystery, diabetes is very well understood by the medical profession..it is the patients themselves that need to understand and research for themselves. Diabetes is the inability of the body to take in and use glucose(sugar) in the cell. This may happen for a variety of reasons. Almost all of which have to do with DIET. For example..I have an uncle who had a blood sugar reading of (believe it or not) 480...with normal being less than 100 the doctors told him he should be dead. Immediately he was put on insulin injections to control his numbers...he also was given a strict diet that did not allow any simple or refined sugars, white breads etc... within six weeks he is no longer taking insulin injections and his readings are now at 90 consistently. By the way a side effect of his dietary change was a loss of 60 pounds of body fat.

I don't think that is a good reason to put him out of office. That is a good reason to do more for diabetes research and get it back in the fore front as a major concern. I know because my brother is a diabetic too and it runs in the family. However Bush has been a great leader since he took office. I don't think Kerry would have stood up to the kind of crap Bush has had to go through.

The tax money that should go to us (the people of America) is being poored into Iraq, and into the pockets of Haliburtan. Bush should have been kicked out years ago. Enough already!!
