A Salt pipe is claimed to use the benefit of ancient salt-cave therapies to maintain an optimum respitory function and to help you to breathe easier, alleviate sneezing, coughing, shortness of breath and leaves you feeling revitalized. Salt crystals have been used to help strengthen the immune system by cleansing the lungs allowing them to absorb more oxygen. Or so they say.

- You to Breathe easier
- Alleviate sneezing, coughing, and shortness of breath
- Feel revitalized
- and improve general well-being.

The salt therapy is a natural method of therapy. It does not involve any risk, does not produce any side effects and is finally adapted to the living space. However, this is NOT a substitute for medical treatment and should only be used as an adjuvant helping to improve the quality of people’ life. It may help to reduce the antibiotics and corticoids and steroids intake.

How does it work
Mechanism of Salt in Salt Therapy

According to the study of Halotherapy (Salt therapy), the mechanism of salt toward the natural cures can be described in Scintiapress. Inhaling salt in to respiratory system, salt particles dehydrates microbial cells and impairs their albuminous structure. Small particles of salt adhere to microbial bodies, under go hygroscopic growth, and precipitate. Via these and perhaps other mechanisms, HT kills pathogenic microorganisms throughout the respiratory tract (Chervinskaya and Zilber, 1995). American researchers had found that H.influenzae and S. Pneumoniae—two of the main pathogens present in the respiratory tracts of chronic bronchitis patients—are very sensitive to hypertonic salt (Rein and Mandell, 1973).

The Particle Parameter in Halotherapy

The research on Halotherapy founds that inhaling microparticles of salt crystal larger than 10 microns in diameter are caught in the upper airways and transported up and out of the respiratory tract by the mucociliary system. In the range of 5-10 microns, they penetrate into the trachea and central bronchial area, but not farther. Only below 5 micron do the microparticles penetrate deep into the lungs, though the larger microparticels have useful effects in the upper respiratory tract. In the range of 0.1-2.5 microns—the same size as the most damaging microparticles from auto and industrial pollution, and invisible human eye—the microparticles of salt penetrate into every corner of the bronchi, bronchioles and alveoli and deposit upon the surface.

The Salt pipe is the modern way to experience salt therapy and has no known side effects.

For centuries, salts have been used as folk remedies by many different cultures in regions around the World. Today people suffering from respiratory disorders travel to curative mines such as Wieliczka in Poland, Hallein in Austria or Praid in Romania. Or they visit seaside locations for high humidity, salty air. Healing therapies using salt to ease respiratory problems may involve inhaling salt brine vapour, gargling with brine or using rock salt combined with essential oils for inhalation. Rock salt is available in many health stores for use as an aid to easing respiratory problems.

Now you can achieve the benefits of salt therapy easily, simply and in the comfort of your own home.

The clinically tested salt pipe is a handy porcelain pipe filled with salt crystals from the Transylvanian Praid salt mine. Its salty microclimate calms and cleanses the cells of the respiratory system. When using the pipe, the moisture of the passing air absorbs the micron sized particles of the salt, then penetrates into your respiratory system to achieve the beneficial effects. The sodium content of the active ingredient induces natural self-cleansing mechanisms that flush away the impurities from the surface of the cells. Salt particles also mechanically clean the air passages.

Just a few minutes or regular daily use can be of major benefit not only to asthma, hay fever and allergy sufferers, smokers and snorers but can also help overcome stuffiness, persistent coughing, shortness of breath, and wheeziness during colds, flu and other infections and neutralise the daily damaging effects of air pollution, dust, smog, fog and secondary cigarette smoke.

Asthma is not in the throat &/or windpipe, but in the lungs & bronchial tubes. Usually brought on by allergens. It can be exacerbated by an emotion trauma. Need to see a pulmonary Dr.
