It's just congestion. See a doctor or get some over the counter congestion medicine.

Wow!! I had the same thing just happen to me! I had a cold for a few days and my ears got plugged. When my cold was over, one of my ears cleared, but one did not. I waited a few days for it to clear, but it didn't.... So heres what I did: (And its clear now) Hold your nose closed with your fingers, and close your mouth. Now try to force yourself to breath. If you where like me, my ears began popping and I was able to hear out of them again on the very first try.

If it's an infection, it might have started in the pharynx (throat) and traveled up the eustachian tube (a direct connection) to the middle ear, which is causing your present blockage.

The mucus is dried and causing irritation. Do steam inhaling with Vicks or eucalyptus oil drops.
