I had a rock and blues jam session with my friends, my wife rounded up a bunch of large breasted 20 somethings who were willing to show off and we had barbecue, beer and hard liquor. Everyone had a great time. Try it!

Wow 40!! No big deal when your past it but getting there is a great deal and can be big fun!! We did a cruise party when my husband turned 40, several years ago. Had lots of different drinks, and lots of different finger foods from places we would have visited if we could have afforded a cruise with all our friends. We had it at a place that had a pool so we could at least have the essence of a cruise. We all dressed in shorts and Hawaiian shirts and even tho it was too cold to swim some wore swim suits. We had lots of tropical decorations and drinks. We played limbo music and had a shuffle board competition and Karaoke. We had a friend DJ.

For the theme, go with the year of HS graduation, which I believe would be 1985. Perfect 80's theme! Make a CD of 80's songs, tell everyone to dress in their best 80's clothes, and of course provide tons of food and drinks.

Have a kiddie party. Do all the stuff you did when you were a kid, pin the tail on the donkey, pinata, gift bags with suckers and match cars, put some kindergarten mats in a corner for those who need a nap etc...etc.....of course the difference is you'll have booze at this one, but you know as a kid you were sneaking it into parties, so same diff!
