If you drank that Coke, your blood sugar would rise significantly. Also, you would not be fasting anymore, so the results would be faulty. After your blood sugar spiked because of the soda, it would drastically fall after your body processes the sugar.
Would your doctor know? Eventually yes. Usually the test is done in a lab (out patient). The blood is then tested (you are usually gone by this point). Then the results will be faxed to your doctor. When he reads the results, he will most likely see that your glucose level was very high. At that point, he may reorder the test or do further testing to determine why your glucose was so high.
If your doctor suspects that you might be diabetic, it is in your best interest to fast per his orders. You want a correct diagnosis. If you are diabetic, you should know so you can control it. Unchecked diabetes can be deadly. If your pre-diabetic you can take steps to prevent the onset of diabetes. If your not diabetic, you can go on about your business knowing that you are OK.

Eventually after he ordered another blood test that showed you what your average blood levels were for the last 30 days. I don't think that he would actually assume you drank coke but he would certainly know that you didn't fast. Doctors are not idiots, besides why would you do that, do you want to be diagnosed with a diesease. Ask all the diabetics out there how wonderful of a diease it is. I personally am not one but I have plenty of family members and a close friend that suffers from this and I can tell you one thing it is not a pleasant thing.

the coke would make changes in your blood sugar level. This lets the doctor know how well or poorly your pancrease is sending insulin to handle the sugar "overload" It's done to regulate and check you diabetic reaction to the sugars. If you do it without the doctors knowledge the sugar will give a false reading as to wether you are diabetic or not and you could be jeparodizing your health. Since diabetis effects all your organs, circulation and eye sight....not a good idea to play.

Coke would make your blood sugar level high since its a liquid form of sugar it would hit your blood like a freight train, Diabetes is a serious condition, there are many things that can happen to your body if you don't take care of it. be smart, avoid coke and anything non-diet soda ("pop"from people from pittsburgh)

It would raise your blood sugar. If your blood sugar is high when it's supposed to be a _fasting_ test, then you will be incorrectly diagnosed with diabetes, and you'll have to have more bloodwork done.
Please don't try to mess with the doctors and nurses this way, it'll actually turn out to be a problem for you more than them.

You would have wasted everybodys time. A FASTING blood sugar is a test to see how your body is handling the blood. Hense you drink Sugar Water (coke) you have or will have an inaccurate test.
Diabetes is not a laughing matter. My mother died due to complications from it. Please, take care of your health. People love ya.

Why would you do that, unless you are trying to be diagnosed?
How much it would affect your results would depend entirely on your own stage of diabetes; it will vary according to beta cell loss, insulin resistance, other foods, time of day - presuming you are a diabetic. If you aren't, it may have very little effect at all.
If I did that I would spike well over safe levels.

Whoever administers the test should confirm that you fasted. If you lie, you're just asking for trouble. They'll ask if you fasted, you tell them no, the test will be rescheduled. Period.
ps There's a reason for it to be a "fasting" test...they need to know what your baseline levels are. Otherwise, it's a waste of time, money, and blood.

The primary effect will be a spike in your blood glucose. Most of the other tests should be unaffected, with a possible exception of triglycerides, simply because your body wouldn't need to be processing them because of the extra sugar.
