Theoretically, stem cells could provide effective treatment for any organ disease, which is especially important for those organs with little-to-none regenerative capacity (e.g. heart, brain, etc). Viral myocarditis is the most common type of myocarditis, but stem cell therapy could aid in any form of myocarditis, by potentially replacing permanently-damaged myocardial tissue with healthy and functional myocardium, which the heart cannot normally do by itself.

Unfortunately, it does not matter since stem cell research is still illegal. There are apparently not enough people stuffing the politicians pockets to get the legislation passed.
