The MOST important thing is handwashing...I know it sounds like a little thing but it's very important...before and after contact with a patient and before and after eating or using the toilet. MUST be followed at all times.
SECOND ...wear gloves for all patient contact.
THIRD wear gowns and masks where appropriate for isolation precautions.
IN addition ....proper and expedient cleanup of all blood and body fluids, chemical spills etc.

educate the staff fully in the dangers to thier patiants and themselves if the dangers of infection controll are not followed.
put into effect sringent germicidal controls at all points of possible infection entry.A deignated responsible person(D.R.P) to oversee to the full imolementation of this rergime
