Get to the doctor straight away. Without other details it's hard to tell what has caused it. It could be a tummy bug or another infection but it also could be menengitis - inflammation of the covering of the brain which can be deadly if not treated immediately. Even if it is nothing serious a temperature that high can cause seizures in children.

Addit: If the diaper is dry, then she is definitely dehydrated. When Children go limp, quiet, or go off all food or drink it's a big warning sign - especially young ones... toddlers often get fussy. If it's viral they can't give you any antibiotics (well they could but they would be useless) but they can treat the symptoms. Children go from well to unwell very quickly compared to adults because their bodies are so much smaller and arent as well equipt to deal with different stressors so the advice is the same as before she really needs to be seen urgently and rehydrated.

This is why the advise of getting a second opinion is so important. Depending on your type of insurance, go to another pediatrician, (I assume that's who you brought your child to the first time). If insurance is a problem and you cannot obtain a pediatrician which will accept your child, the ER is the next thing.

Also, if you don't have a primary care physician, you might need a referral to a pediatrician. A PEDIATRICIAN is crucial in getting the proper diagnoses and treatment. The Emergency Dept./Room will be able to provide you with that, and (hopefully) will provide initial treatment.

This cannot wait. It's a big hassle, but it needs to be done as soon as office hours are open!

Good luck!

have you ever given him tylenol or advil? if so and that hasn't delivered down the fever in 30 minutes you will possibly desire to take him in, make an commentary of what time he had the fever reducer and the quantity you gave him and positioned across the bottle with you so the docs be attentive to precisely how lots he had. additionally if those have been his common 12 month vaccinations they're distinctive then the two,4, and six month ones, so whether he did not have a reaction to the different ones he could be having one from the recent ones.

get to the hospital now. she/he has a form of infection and tests need to be done to pinpoint the cause. she/may have eaten contaminated food. but just get to the doctor now please. give her tylenol for the fever and replace her gastrointestinal loses with hydrite rehydration solution from the pharmacy then bring her to the doctor asap. or you can make 1tsp salt and 8 tsps sugar in 1 liter of boiled water and make her drink as much as she can to prevent dehydration.

Get to the doctor or ED. Be aware that your child can dehydrate fast. Children can get sick so fast and need medical attention.
