Hey. We have a group project to do and I decided that I would make Koushari. If anyone knows what this is, please help. Our group only has one hour to cook. How do I make the lentils cook faster? We are not allowed to soak them overnight or before our presentation. What should I do?

I don't have a pressure cooker and neither does the school kitchen :(

Put a half tea spoon of baking soda. It will make it cook faster. Just make sure not to put too much. To make sure how much you need, try it at home before you do it in the presentation.
It may sound odd, but it works.
