For me, I was gob-smacked when I found out that bean feast chilli mix has milk powder in? Why on Earth would you put that in a chilli non carne mix!! Salt and Vinegar Walkers crisps (potato crisps) IMHO they don't need to contain any milk powder !!

Well, it didn't exactly shock me that most chocolate products aren't vegan, but it does make me angry that the government doesn't allow products called "chocolate" to contain vegetable fat.

What the hell are they thinking? It's not like milkfat is any healthier than, say, palm oil! And the tropical oil's cheaper, too!

If they could just get over their traditional bias towards dairy, all the cheap, delicious, unhealthy chocolate bars would be vegan. As it is, though, I need to drive down to the nearest health food store and pay about double the price for really dark chocolate.

i cant think of a specific one.. it seems like everytime i look at another label, i see some dairy or egg product on the back of it, even for completely ridiculous things... its very frustrating!!!!

i would say that i was quite sad when i learned that wine was also filtered with animal proteins or whatever it is.

luckily many australian wines are vegan ;) nice job, aussies.

I don't know what Gob-Smacked means, but I think it's what I felt when I learned most store-bought black teas are colored with pig blood.

Liptons says they're not colored with pig blood but refuses to say what exactly their "natural flavorings" consist of.

Tetley is ok.
