A lot of women get abnormal paps smears. Don't be scared. Your cells in your body could be changing. Also, there is no cure for cervcal cancer or hpv. But, the good news is that most forms of hpv clear up on its own. If you have a low grade verison of hpv it will natually go away in about 6 months to a 1 year. Also if you have bumps on your certix from the hpv, they can freeze them off. I recommend you wait for 6 months and get another paps smear. I bet you the hpv will clear up if its low grade.

most people have the HPV virus (it's a wart causing virus) it's scary when they tell you HPV and the possiblity of cancer for the first time (been there done that) if it's caught early enough they can freeze the cervix to kill off the cells that have cancer. Not to painful a little discomfort, and some cramps. Hope these help ease the anxiety

Human papiloma virus is more commonly known as genital warts. Yes, I contracted them when I was 18 (I am 37 now). HPV can DEFINITELY be treated. As for the cervical cancer, cancer is cancer. Of course it can be treated, however the success rate varies from case to case.
By the way, a man can give a woman genital warts and he will never even know he had or has them if she does not tell him after diagnosis because men do not show symptoms. He will continue to spread them around. Many Drs. will anonymously contact the person so they can be treated without them knowing you have them.
Good luck whatever your situation is.
