Peta 2 is a good website.
That "peta kills animals" site is propaganda. Not Truth!
It's about ONE peta employee and a volunteer, not peta itself. The were acquited. That means Not Guilty. So what are you up in arms about?
Check the ACTUAL News rather than the propaganda. Link provided.

Look, I'm Vegan and an Animal Rights activist. There is no reasons biology_freak's answer has 5 thumbs down. Peta DID do this. no matter how you feel about them they DID in fact dump bodies of animals in a dumpster behind a supermarket. Peta also opposes no-kill shelters.
I would urge you not to support Peta. Visit www.animal-law.org for a great primer on animal rights.

Sure many have heard of PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. But before you go banging a drum for their cause, please do a little more homework. In 2006 PETA employees were arrested and charged for collecting people pets with the promise that good homes would be found. They would then kill the animals by suffocating them in plastic bags and dump the bodies in dumpsters used by food stores. In New Jersey they were reported to have killed over 14,000 pets.

I think everyone has heard of PETA. I don't have to watch the videos to know those things. I did not even have to watch them in order to become vegetarian.

I just thought I'd get that out of the way because some idiot's gonna come in here and repeat that stupid, annoying joke if I don't.

Of course Peta is a long standing organization who is a bit aggressive in their tactics to make people think about cruelty to animals.

I agree with biology_freak. I'm a vegetarian, but Peta isn't the best organization to look up to. They're also very conceited and need to understand that vegetarianism and vegan-ism are not for everyone.

Yes I've heard of Peta, they're annoying and I dislike them very much. If you wan't to eat meat, that's your choice but they criticize you for it. They're a bunch of hypocrites that'll judge you no matter what, even though it's your choice.
And that video, true it was horrible but do you actually think EVERYONE treats animals like that? True, we kill animals to eat them but it doesn't mean we abuse them before. Unless you're going to claim to know every butcher out there.
And for some reason, I highly doubt everyone that's involved with Peta are vegetarians.
