I'm vegan and my husband and I are the only people I know without terrible colds right now. We've made it this far into the winter without getting sick and I think it's because we're vegan. Before we were vegan my husband was sick all the time and an asthmatic. Now, after removing dairy from his diet he doesn't need an inhaler. I don't need a video to give me reasons to be vegan.
Animal Agriculture (like you can grow animals out of the ground!!!) causes suffering for the farmer and the animals.
Slaughterhouses abuse animals and their workers
Transporting animals by truck causes distress to animals and pollutes the environment
Buy local and buy vegan.

1. Because I can sleep at night.
Meat eaters, whether they eat cows, pigs, chicken or fish, often feel that we vegetarians need to explain or prove beyond a reasonable doubt our way of life. It is the bane of being a minority; we choose to not go with the flow, and we therefore must explain ourselves.
With the growing rates of heart-related deaths, colon issues etc., no animal eater needs to explain and give reasons for what they are having for dinner.
People look for the 1 thing they don't agree with so they can say we are wrong because we are under pressure to give 100% proof of the benefits of our way of life, when a meat filled diet is far from provable as being a great way to live.
If you are a meat eater who eats chicken and fish, you are at least more healthy than red-meat eaters... But that is still not a 100% wonderful way to live.
So, my answer is that I can sleep at night and I like the choices I have made. I could give 15 or 1000 reasons, and someone will still ask again tomorrow. Each person has to find his/her own reasons for how s/he chooses to live.
:)

I love vegetarianisn but wanted to toss in one comment. Eating whole natural LOCAL food is more important. Why? Because it is agribusiness that is killing America! The best thing any American can do is give up all processed food. It's so nasty! The reason I mention this is because I have tow vegetarian friends - no insult to the rest of You1 - that eat crap. Including the DISGUSTING practice of you know soy shaped like chicken drumsticks with a lot of processed unhealthy coating, salt, sugar and sauce. Gross. Even PETA, who I admire has so ridiculously unhealthy and PRO- agribusiness recipes! Shame on them!

I'm not sure what your question is, but I'm a vegan and I'm the healthiest one in my family, so health is definitely up there on the list of reasons. Animals are another, and the environment is also one.

1.Less animals slaughtered in slaughter houses, which leads to less chemicals in the air, which decrease Global Warming.
