Nothing was done at the doctor. but a few days later my mom told me the doctors said I had herpes.. from the research I've done I'm supposed to be having these breakouts.... I think I've had only 2 in about 7 years but my symtoms aren't what I read about.... does this mean something??? am I supposed to have them more often?

I am curious, how did the doctor come to this conclusion without even doing an examination or a blood test? Go to a different doctor and have another test done.

No. With Herpes you can get a break out from many different thing. Stress, food, and irritation are the biggest factors. The symptoms are able to be supressed with medication if you choose so talk to your doctor and they will be able to get that medication.

I do not have herpes, but my mom is a nurse and she said maybe you need to go see a different doctor and get a second opinion.

I think you'd have to consider your symptoms carefully, and wonder if the diagnosis could be inaccurate. It is certainly possible to have HSV2 and not have outbreaks often.
