I am grossed out by eating meat, because I dont see it as food anymore. I see it as a dead animal that was slaughtered. Not very appetizing. But, you dont have to be grossed out and gagging at the sight of meat. Everyone is different.

Cooked animal flesh is very greasy and bloody.
Just thinking about the poop and filth mixed in
is enough to make me grim-mace without even
having a picture in front of me. It also reminds
me of looking at a dismembered corpse.
Yeah I used to eat it, but then I was raised on
it. Do you know any better than what your
parents teach you? Once you've been
enlightened and once you've seen a cow
chicken, dolphin, or pig face to face
the light bulb begins to click as to what it
really was that you were putting into your
mouth.

Im a vegetarian and have never ate meat in my life. Meat is just plain filthy!! Do you know how many parasites and bacteria there are in just a slab of meat? 10 of millions. It is mind boggling and people still eat it.

I'm the same as what the girl above me said.My family left a bowl with foil covering the top,so I couldn't see what was inside.I clean my kitchen so I was clearing off the counter, then I took off the foil to see what was inside and it was roastbeef, the smell made me gag! I thought it was rotten or something but my family said they just cooked it,I guess the smell of meat grosses me out because I haven't had it in such a long time. When my family eats ribs I get really grossed out because you can tell exactly where it came from and I can imagine the animal being eaten part.

'Grossed,' not 'groosed.' I am _grossed_ out by meat.
But -- I've never eaten it. Life-long vegetarianism isn't _that_ much of a rarity. And, lots of people stop eating meat when they're quite young, and it's reasonably normal to be grossed out by some of what you ate voraciously when you were small. (Breast milk, anybody?)

I don't like to look at or smell meat because I think it looks gross now. I used to eat it, but I haven't since I was 12...I'm so used to the fruits, vegetables, and grains that I could not care less about eating meat.

Sure. I haven't been exposed to it much for the last 20 years. Aren't people grossed out by baby diapers after their kids are grown yet they weren't when they were small? It's about what you've been exposed to recently.

i used to eat pork, meat, chicken, etc. but i've stopped just because i thought pigs were so cute and i found out that they are actually just as intellegent as dogs. they make great pets. cows are sweet grass eating mammals and they do deserved to be treated this way. i read an article on how they treated cows, chickens, and pigs when they are on their way to slaughter house and i just couldnt support that anymore. i stopped eating pork, cows, chickens and any land animals. well chickens arent cute but i feel bad just to eat them too. i still eat sea food but eventually i will stop. i'm just on my first state and i've just turned...SORT-OF vegetarian for about a month. have been eating meat all my life, its hard just to give up everything in a day. well, to answer your question, no i'm not grossed out. but i feel sorry for it.

I am. Years ago, when I did eat it, I was uninformed and had a blind eye. When I woke up and saw the truth, meat was a piece of rotting flesh to me. That's not to appetizing.
