Sounds like whatever you have, your anxiety is making it worse. If you have bronchitis you should probably have a fever, too, so that's one way to tell. But I'd go to the doctor anyway. Have them listen to your lungs to see if it's just a cold or something else. And maybe ask for something to deal with the anxiety so you can at least sleep at night.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Yeah, you probably were having a panic attack. That would give anyone a panic attack. My mother passed away in 1999. It one of the hardest things a person can go through. You could have bronchitis or maybe you've got this cold that's going around. Get you some Robitussin DM. I just bought some. I have a cough right now. You take care and may the Lord waych over you in you time of distress.

It could be a number of things. Bronchitis (speaking from my experience) typically comes on after a cold and you will feel a heaviness in your chest and usually have chest congestion that goes along with it. Chances are you are in fact having a panic attack...no fun...have been there...but rest assured, they are controllable and there are lots of things that can help you deal with them. Panic is a crazy thing and attempting to get it under control sometimes seems impossible to do. I would recommend getting to a Dr. to rule out bronchitis or something else and also discuss if it may be anxiety or panic attacks. A quick fix to try that was recommended to me is Bach Rescue Remedy. You can find it at any natural food health store...it is a small bottle, all natural and organic...you simply spray a few drops on your tongue and it helps with stress relief. Sounds a bit silly I know...but it is highly recommended and it was recommended to me and in turn I have recommended it to many other people as well. It has been written up in many leading magazines also and Dr. Bach who has a full line of all natural organic products is well renowned. Good luck and sorry about the passing of your Mom!

Bronchitis is a respiratory disease in which the mucous membrane in the lungs' bronchial passages becomes inflamed. As the irritated membrane swells and grows thicker, it narrows or shuts off the tiny airways in the lungs, resulting in coughing spells accompanied by thick phlegm and breathlessness. The disease comes in two forms: acute (lasting less than 6 weeks) and chronic (reoccurring frequently for more than two years). In addition, people with asthma also experience an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes called asthmatic bronchitis.
The symptoms for acute bronchitis are:
Hacking cough.
Yellow, white, or green phlegm, usually appearing 24 to 48 hours after a cough.
Fever, chills.
Soreness and tightness in chest.
Some pain below breastbone during deep breathing
Some shortness of breath
The symptoms for chronic bronchitis are:
Persistent cough producing yellow, white, or green phlegm (for at least three months of the year, and for more than two consecutive years).
Sometimes wheezing, sometimes breathlessness.
Call Your Doctor If:
Your cough is so persistent or severe that it interferes with sleep or daily activities or leads to persistent chest pain; you could be damaging sensitive air sacs in your lungs.
Your symptoms last more than a week, and your mucus becomes darker and thicker, increases in volume, or turns bloody.
You display symptoms of acute bronchitis and have chronic lung or heart problems, or are infected with the virus that causes AIDS; respiratory infections can leave you vulnerable to more serious lung diseases, such as pneumonia.
You have great difficulty breathing. This symptom, sometimes mistakenly associated with bronchitis, could signal asthma, emphysema, tuberculosis, heart disease, a serious allergic reaction, or cancer.

If your breath is hot and your chest hurts and feels hot, you have bronchitis. Check if you have a fever.
With the wheezing, that could also come from anxiety. If any of the symptoms persist for another day you need to see a doctor.
And my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your mom.

pneumonia feels like someone grabbing your lungs and squeezing them bronchitus on the other hand is an irriataion of the bronchial tubes...there are various causes...however you are actually trying to get attention..psycho-symatic... mommas boy or girl your letter screams volumes of indications that you are afraid to face life with out a shoulder to lean on and someone to reassure you that you are loved... I have only this advise
your not lonely you simply do not understand the value of privacy.
many lonely people forget how valuable privacy is...now thats moms gone try to understand the up side of lonelyness. after all the root of your proplem is your justifiable fear of relationships and the behaviour of the people you meet...mom would never talk down to you or bad to you as friends often do. but try to remember this, how bad off the people that talk **** really are. they are not lonely they are insercure. these type of people need to hurt others since they have been hurt...they pick people that cannot beat thier asses since they could not beat the *** of the people that insulted them...I know this sounds corny..but the type of people you meet at church events tend to be approachable and decent even if you dont believe ..remember religion is a social behaviour government meant to help humanity. the story line is therefore irrelevant ..and btw Im sure the stories are truthfull recounts of actual events...anyway dont fall into fake medical complaints since i feel you dont really need attention that bad. I hope this helps you stop feeling sorry for yourself ...

I am so very sorry for your loss of your mother. It very well could be that your body is trying to have a nervous breakdown. Please try to think about this....your mother is probably upset that you are taking this very hard. It isnt going to be anything next to "easy" to deal with....for many many years to come. But please think about your health!! Your family just lost one person...they dont want to loose another. Take care & please take what I've said into consideration.
I will say a prayer for you & your family!!

I would go see your doctor. It might just be anxiety/stress related, but your doctor will be able to tell if you have an infection.
I'm very sorry for your loss.
