This happens a lot when you are blowing you nose often, especially if you have a cold. The dry air will also cause your nose to bleed some. Try to be more gentile when you blow your nose. Some warm moist air will also help. They sell vaporizers, also called humidifiers in the drug stores. The old ones got too hot and could be dangerous for kids but now they make them better. They put out warm moist air that will help you breath while you sleep and moisten you nasal passages. People have been putting then nose over steam for 100 years. Don't try this you can burn your nose. Even steam from a hot cup of tea can help. Look in your local drug store. If you need help ask the pharmacist they usually are very helpful sometimes they even come out from behind the counter.

I would have it checked with an ear, nose and throat specialist. However, most of the time, and that is only most of the time, a small amount of bright red blood in the nose indicates that the tiny blood vessels inside your nose are fragile and brake with force. It could also means other serious conditions. Have it checked with an MD.

It could be caused my constant sinus infections. I used to have that problem and I went to a doctor and got my nose cauterized.
This problem can get worse if you have a nose that starts to bleed easily (just blowing your nose may cause it to gush blood)
You should go to a specialist and have him look at it. I was lucky enough at the time I new my doctor, he was also a friend, so he didn't charge me much money for the cauterization.

Depends on the color of the blood. If it is red then you have a broken vessel somewhere in the nasal passage. It is either too dry or irritated. If it is black then get to the doctor ASAP. That is a sign of something serious.
good luck.

There is a couple things that it may be. it could be sinus infection. (if so then you could wait it out or get a antibiotic. It could be that you have chapped nasal passages, and this could cause cracking to the interlining. and your nose has a lot of little blood vessels in there and it could bleed. mainly in cold weather.

Usually means that the mucous membranes are dried out and a little capillary vein has burst. Nasal saline helps the condition. It is common when we have to use the heat in the winter time. It is usually not serious unless there is a discolored mucous with it, meaning that you have a infection.

If its only a small amount and it has just happened, it means either the start or end of a cold/flu or you have blown and burst a small blood vessel in your nose. If its a lot of blood it could be a nosebleed, but if it lasts, call a doctor.

You either blew to hard or your nose is very dry (Inside). This happens in the winter and dry climates. Try using a nasal spray (Saline).

It's probably nothing serious just a little nose bleed. It has happened to me before. Or you could be blowing too hard.
