2 weeks ago, I had unprotected sex for about 1 minute before I put on protection, with a girl who is in the Army. She has had only 1 partner (1 time) and he wore protection. She told me countless times that shes been tested for HIV because its required for the Army. She has been really mad at me because Ive questioned her so many times. I tend to be a hypochondriac, sorry.

Since then after 2 weeks, I developed a sore throat and my lymphnode on the right side of my neck is swollen but not noticeable. My body seems a little tired but I am not nauseated. I was tested 6 months ago for HIV and I was clean and Ive only been with 2 girls, 1 was virgin and also this Army girl. Should I be worried?

hi,
I think you dont have to worry. oral sex (receving) almost safe. Dont look for the symptoms . Symtoms will come if you look for it. But anyway have hiv test after 3 month just to have a happy mind.

if you are still worried see : http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/Labs/Archive/TestingHIV/

The usually sign of HIV infection is a flu like symptom a few weeks after contact. It is easier for women then men to get HIV from a partner. It can take up to 6 months to test postive for HIV since it takes time for your body to build up antibodies which makes the test postitive. You should go get tested if you are worried and avoid unprotected sex until you know for sure to prevent infecting others. You are most likely not infected if what this girl says is true and she does not do any other high risk behavior like use injection drugs, anal sex or oral sex without a condom or had blood transfusions or blood products.

First of all, it doesn't matter if you had sex for one minute or one hour, one second of contact can get you HIV.
Secondly, if what Army girl is telling you is true, then you shouldn't be concerned with contracting HIV.
As far as your symptom go, you could just be getting a cold.
Get tested again just to ease your worry.
