What symptoms are you talking about? HIV presents no outward physical symptoms. It is only when HIV develops into AIDS that symptoms begin to appear. And its not very likely that AIDS would develop 5 months after contracting HIV.
You say "suspected contraction" ... if you think you may have been exposed to HIV, why in the world haven't you gotten a test yet? You can get them completely for free at your local clinic/health department. Why worry yourself to death?

It usually takes many years after the initial contracton of aids to experience any symptoms(10-15 years). I might suggest seeing a doctor about the symptoms you are experiencing and see if it is something that needs immediate attention.

Read up on it...but most symptoms do not occur for many years. You should be able to get an accurate aids test between 3-6 months...so now is the time to get one done...before you infect anyone else.

it is very unlikely that you experiance symptoms of AIDS in 5 months.nor its possible to diagnose HIV in 5 month of contraction with conventional ELISA TEST.You have to undergo PCR [polymerase chain reaction] TEST to diagnose such cases
