There are many recipe ideas at "www.goveg.com" if you want to check it out. One of the ways I like to cook tofu is this: I will slice
extra firm tofu very thin like canadian bacon. Sprinkle with seasoned salt and fry it in a few Tbls. of vegetable or peanut oil.
Keep flipping the pieces and fry until well browned. Remove and pat dry. Cut a tomato in slices and wash a leaf of lettuce. Toast some wheat bread and then spread some nanonaise or mayo on it. Put all ingredients on the toast to make a veggie BLT. It's really great. I also use it to make fried rice. You just cut it thin and into squares, sprinkle with soy sauce and fry it up with the following:
cooked rice, red peppers, onion, broccoli, pea pods, water chestnuts, and slivered carrots. Add everything to a wok and add a bit of oil to prevent sticking. Fry until veggies are tender. I usually add more soy sauce and some brown sugar for a little sweetness. After frying, add a can of peas if you wish. Very tasty!

Hi.. I've got a recipe for Tofu Scramble.

Tofu scramble is a popular vegan breakfast dish similar to scrambled eggs. Although this recipe calls for onions and green peppers, try adding some mock meat crumbles such as Morningstar Farms sausage crumbles, or experiment with different vegetable combinations, such as spinach, mushrooms and green onions. The possibilities for tofu scramble are endless! Wrap in a warmed flour tortilla with a bit of salsa for a breakfast burrito or top with soy or dairy cheese.

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 yellow onion, diced
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
1 block tofu, drained and pressed
2 tbsp oil or margarine
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp turmeric (optional)

PREPARATION:

Slice the tofu into approximately one inch cubes. Then, using either your hands or a fork, crumble it slightly.
Sautee onion, pepper and crumbled tofu in oil for 3-5 minutes, stirring often. Add remaining ingredients, reduce heat to medium and allow to cook 5-7 more minutes, stirring frequently and adding more oil if needed.

Prepare this and have a nice meal.

Here is a recipe..

Tofu stuffed cabbage recipe

Ingredients

I cabbage
500g of tofu
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
A handful of roasted peanuts, ground or chopped
5 or 6 dessert spoons of soy sauce
2 vegetable stock cubes
A third of a teaspoon of crushed dried chilli
A few sprigs of green coriander
A bunch of celery herb (with stems) or green onions
1 dessertspoon of sugar
2 dessertspoons of flour
Salt
Oil

Separate the cabbage leaves carefully then put them in a large pot with 5cm of water on the bottom. Remove the leaves from the celery stems or separate the green onions into individual leaves. Don't chop them as they are going to be used to tie up the cabbage leaf parcels. Lay the stems or onion leaves on top of the cabbage. Steam the cabbage leaves for a few minutes until they soften then rinse in cold water and drain.

To make the stuffing, chop the onion and garlic finely and fry it in a little oil until it becomes transparent, then add the tofu, roughly chopped, along with the chilli. Fry until the tofu starts to become golden then add the peanuts, chopped coriander and a little salt. Remove from the heat and mash until the ingredients start to bind together.

Remove the mid-rib from a cabbage leaf and make a parcel by wrapping some stuffing in the leaf and tying it with a celery stem or onion leaf. Repeat with the rest of the leaves and when you've finished lay the parcels side-by-side in a wide pan. Cover with water and bring to the boil. Add the stock cubes, soy sauce and sugar and simmer for twenty minutes. Add the flour mixed with a little cold water and simmer for a further few minutes until the sauce thickens. If it appears to be too thick, add some hot water from the kettle to thin it.

Hope you like it..

Curried Tofu:

Serve with white rice or rice noodles and fresh orange slices.

2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 (15-ounce) package reduced-fat firm tofu, drained and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon curry powder
1 cup precut matchstick-cut carrots
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 (15 1/4-ounce) can pineapple chunks in juice, drained
1 medium red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil

Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add tofu, and sprinkle with salt. Cook 8 minutes or until golden brown, stirring frequently. Remove from pan; keep warm.

Add coconut milk and curry powder to pan, and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add carrots, crushed red pepper, pineapple, and bell pepper; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in tofu. Sprinkle with basil.

There are different types of tofu. Firm, baked, silk.

So check out your store and then google the specific type of tofu you have. I like the firm or baked.
