Vegetarians can eat anything which does not require the animal to be dead first. This allows milk and eggs and their by-products, and rules out all meats and fish, gelatin, some colourings and flavourings, and anything which requires the use of dead-animal by-products (eg most wines as gelatin is used to "clear" them).
Vegans can eat only non-animal products - nothing from animals, dead or alive. So they will have no meat or fish, no gelatin, nothing containing or using meat by-products, no dairy, no eggs and nothing containing dairy or egg by-products.

A vegetarian doesn't eat any meat. On the other hand a vegan doesn't eat any animal products or meat. People think it's the same but there is a big difference.

in the previous i develop right into a strict vegetarian, I nevertheless did not pick to devour a lot meat. My boyfriend went completely ape sh*t each and every time i'd refuse to devour lobster or crab or some thing. We broke up for different motives and considering I even are turning out to be a versatile vegan (I nevertheless drink skim milk and devour no-fat common yogurt). Boys seem to don't have any difficulty with it. each and every once in a lengthy time period they'll be like "enable's flow get some wings" and that i will only only say "no thanks" somewhat of going right into a large lecture on how eating meat is inaccurate. i wager my ideal advice is to enable the lads comprehend you do not devour meat, yet are not to any extent further making a huge deal out of it. If he needs to devour a steak, enable him devour steak, you may order salad. he will relish that when he will pay for the bill!!!! sturdy luck my chum=) Oh certain-- and with a view to satisfy fellow vegetarians and vegans, attempt looking a vegan cooking classification and flow to it. a lot of horny men will be there too!

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH There is no "semi-vegetarian" or "pesco-vegetarian"
A vegetarian doesn't eat meat (which includes fish and chicken), some may or may not eat eggs or dairy products
A vegan will eat nothing from an animal, which includes eggs. No animal by-products, gelatin for example. They don't eat honey either because it comes from an animal.

The answer is simple. Things that come directly from animals. The degree to which this guide applies determines the class of veg*nism they fall into, but the guide is the one defining identifying point of non-focus. I say non-focus because we veg*ns prefer to focus on the positive rather than the negative. In other words we focus on eating plant based products, rather than focus on not eating animal based products. Quite a few people who call themself veg*n don't get this, but that's not their fault.
Vegetarian: Extracts from animals are OK, but not animal flesh.
Vegan: No animal extract or flesh.

They can EAT....but it's a choice of WHAT to eat.
No meat or animal products. Hardcore vegetarians will go as far as avoiding eggs and dairy products. They substitute these protein sources with soy products. If you can handle that kind of diet I say go for it......

Depends. Vegetarians may or may not eat: fish and/or shellfish, milk, eggs, or dairy such as cheese, butter, and ice cream. A vegan will not eat ANY animal product.
