Exudate: A fluid rich in protein and cellular elements that oozes out of blood vessels due to inflammation and is deposited in nearby tissues. The altered permeability of blood vessels permits the passage of large molecules and solid matter through their walls. The vessels seem to weep, to sweat, in keeping with the Latin "exsudare", to sweat out, from which exudate is derived.
By comparison, a transudate is a fluid that passes through a membrane which filters out much of the protein and cellular elements and yields a watery solution. The process of transudatation is due to increased pressure in the veins and capillaries pressure forcing fluid through the vessel walls or low levels of protein in the serum. The transudate is a filtrate of blood.

There is an important distinction between transudates and exudates. Transudates are caused by disturbances of hydrostatic or colloid osmotic pressure, not by inflammation. Medical distinction between transudates and exudates is through the measurement of the specific gravity of extracted fluid. Specific gravity is used to measure the protein content of the fluid. The higher the specific gravity, the greater the likelihood of capillary permeability changes in relation to body cavities

Yes all the three are correct..Let me add some more.. Transudate is the seeping of fluid that occurs when there is change in the hemodynamics but the capillary endotheluim is intact..The composition is similar to that of serum without proteins because protein molecules cannot pass out of intact endothelium... Exudate is the seeping of fluid from the blood vessels along with the proteins because of increased vascular permeability...During inflammation the endothelial cells become more permeable to larger molecules like protein as the space between each cell increases due to action of inflammatory mediators...

Ex means out, trans means across.
exudate is something that goes out from a tissue/organ
transudate goes through membrane like from one area to another.
