I know you said that your friend went to the planned parents hood and it cost her a lot of money, but you need to take in the facts of consideration before you decide not to try going there. First, the best thing to do is to contact your local Planned Parenthood, give them your financial information, and ask them how much it will cost. Thats what I did, and I ended up paying about 30 dollars for the exam and was eligable for free birth control. They figure payments on a sliding scale, so if you feel you cant afford the amount they ask you to pay, they'll work with you. They are there FOR you, not for your money (or at least the one I go to is. In fact, most of what they offer is free for most people). If that doesnt work, go to the doctor under your insurance plan. I wish you the best of luck. If you'd like more information, please feel free to e-mail me. I can help you find the correct person to contact for financial information.

Go to Planned Parenthood. Everything I have gotten from there (exams, tests, pills, etc.) was free. If you are a student or even if you have a job you can get everything for free. I know my friend paid when she went in to get a pap, tests and birth control patches it was like $130. It depends on how much you make if they will put you on the green card program (where you do contributions, however much you want to pay, they don't require you to pay). I do the contributions and for like over $1,300 of stuff I've paid only like $110 for everything through contributions.

Ask at planned parenthood or your local clinic. You should be able to find out at your obgyn, you need to get a pap smear every year anyway. Most clinics will do it for free or donations.

that is shocking that planned parenthood was so much! if you have insurence, you can checked by your primary care physician, it will only cost you the copay, another less than ethical way is to go give blood, they check all of the blood before sending it to donors, and have to contact you if there are any STD's, its free, but kinda morally questionable.

Call your city's dept of public health and they will send you to the appropriate place. As for the answerer that suggested you go to the blood bank and stated it was morally questionable..... it's not questionable it's REPREHENSIBLE. Absolutely. Don't even think of going that route.
