if your arm is above your heart, is there less pressure because the blood is going down to your heart? and is this therefore not a valid reading?

also, when my arm is below my heart, my blood pressure goes to 145/80

If you measure blood pressure, your arm should be at the same level as your heart. That is the only way you get a valid reading

To find out the normal blood pressure it should be taken with the arm at level with the heart.

The arm should be at rest. When I raise my arm they can't fell a pulse. It showed up when I took an EMG from a neurologist. He said he didn't really know why.
