Apply some BlueStar Ointment on the area about twice daily. Drink plenty water, Keep the area clean. Its a pain, for some but for others they do not have any outbreaks. Its good to stay educated and take your medicine every so often just to keep it running through your system. It helps lots! Exercise and eating yogurt is the main two things that help out a whole lot as well.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

Buy a product called Dom Burroughs. It's a powder that you mix with warm water and apply to your sores,or if possible sit in it,by way of a sitz bath or pan large enough to sit in.It will soothe the burning that comes with the sores.Stress will cause outbreaks.Try meditating,or anything that relaxes you.I have suffered for more than 30 years with this condition.I am 54 now,and my outbreaks are greatly reduced as I get older.Stress will make them come back though.Good Luck

It has features that can result us mentally, emotionally and bodily. the toughest ingredient that i've got discovered is that there is not any longer a one-length-suits-all answer. After 25 years of coping with assorted medical doctors, dissimilar exams and med variations, i became into waiting to discover a achieveable answer. (for me) Chiropractic care and self-hypnosis has decreased my each and every day suffering via eighty-ninety %. additionally, i will proceed to seek for innovations to drugs, ask absolutely everyone who has suffered what they have completed, and am very careful to no longer take meds as a familiar direction of scientific care on undesirable days. The few cases the place I won "undesirable" suggestion from approved physicians has made me very leery of the scientific occupation as an entire. i'm specific that there are various stable medical doctors, yet whilst i visit hunt for his or her suggestion, I hear heavily to no longer in basic terms what they say, yet how they attitude me and the topics i'm seeking to be sure. (by no potential be afraid to seek for a 2nd, third or forth opinion!) nicely, i'm off to the Chiropractor (heavily!) LOL! wish this helped!

I understand completely... try a warm bath... or ice packs... I've never found any over-the-counter pain medication to help. Your outbreak could last up to two weeks.... I'd try anti-viral medication if you're having a lot of pain.
Talk to a doctor... you can take an anti-viral medication during your outbreak. This will reduce the length of time it is there and hurting. You don't necessarily have to take them on a daily basis. I have used the anti-viral medication for a few of my really bad outbreaks, and they were a life-saver.

I would keep some of this cream on hand:

I think I would dab some on the genital area a couple of times a week whether I was having an outbreak or not. That way, you would keep some in your system.

I've heard that ibuprofen or tylenol would help. I honestly didn't take anything when I had my outbreak because I didn't think anything would help. Every time I had to pee, it would burn. I would be interested to know if there is some type of cream that would numb the area or something.
