Getting this disease is very stressful and you are not alone about this. There are millions of people that have genital herpes. Make sure that you don't put this out in the open just for your sake. This disease is teased a lot and that will make you misearable. People don't realize what you are going through b/c they haven't had to deal with this pain and embarrasement. You need to realize that b/c you have this disease doesn't mean that you are nasty, gross, or anything. This means that you have broken through a bumpy part of your life and succeeded. Out breaks are the key to make sure you are not having any interaction unless your other has it as well. They usually apear when you are stress out or when you rub yourself raw. Also you can sometimes get them from foods as well. There are several medication that you can take to keep away the outbreaks. Talk to your dr about that. Make sure you always were a condom unless the boyfriend has it to. If he doesn't then also make him take a shower b/c you don't want your juices to stay on him. Good luck honey and if you need talk, drop me a email.

Herpes from a cold sore on the mouth and genital herpes are different strains. I'm not sure your description is actually how you got herpes. But herpes can remain dormant for years and then all of a sudden pop up. You probably got it from a past experience a long time ago.
Many people are in the same situation as you. Genital herpes affects one in four americans. It's too late to do anything about it, but I would talk to your doctor about the best ways to control outbreaks, such as taking valtrex as a prophylaxis, and see if there's anything you can apply topically for relief.
What's done is done, you've got to just deal with the outbreaks and move on and live like, just like 75 million other americans! You can do it!

I was just diagnosed with genital herpes last year, so I know the physical and emotional pain that you are experiencing. For those posts above me (who obviously don't know) there are of course 2 strains of herpes, but they can be transferred to different areas of the body (oral sex is one way...).
Don't let it bum you out. You are NOT the only one, and it will be ok. I am in a long-term relationship, and my boyfriend is actually who infected me. If you want to email me, do so and I will talk to you more.

I got identified with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 4 years back, whilst I was still in college and had a silly one-night stand. I understand lots of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date other men again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone who has sores around her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/wmS07 everything got better.
Not only was I able to clear away all remnants of the hsv from my system in less than 21 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This method gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others by sharing this story.

it happens. keep in mind that it's not the end of the world. medicines are really good these days so try to not let it get u down. after all it could be worse right. you will still live a healthy life. I personally don't have herpes but if i met a women who i cared for and she had it well it wouldn't make a bit of difference. i would be sexually intimate with her. stay close with friends, family and keep yourself busy. time heals everything

the first initial break out is really painful, my doc prescibed certain anti virals...I was spose to take one tablet daily for basically the rest of my life..i took them for a couple of months and then only when I had an outbreak.Well that was about 5yrs ago...Ive had 2 outbreaks since then and they have been barely noticeable. Look after yourself, eat healthy, dont get run down and stressed out. Its not the end...try to obtain pamplets put out by the local health department..they are really helpful and easy to understand....everything will be fine

genital herpes is caused by herpes simplex virus , and treated by anti-viral agent like acyclovir.
the bad thing is when this virus gets in our body, it never comes out , it hides in neurons(nerve cells), it may come back as cold sores or as genital herpes.
if you are in severe pain, pain killers are recommended.
((((((consult your doctor))))))
