Sea salt is slightly lower in sodium but still high. If you have Hypertension or high blood pressure i would eliminate salt from many places in the diet. For example, eliminate the salty seasonings of course to start, limit salty snack foods and eliminate convenience foods (frozen foods, box foods like mac & cheese and canned soups) all high salt foods. season w/ garlic or onion powder, fresh lemon, etc.

well, you will still have high blood pressure regardless of your sodium intake. so sea salt verses table salt? the only difference really is iodine content.

Salt is salt. Table salt usually has Iodine in it and you need that to keep your thyroid in check. You definately don't need more problems than you already have.

Regular salt, is approved, but with minimal dose of iodine content. there is enough salt in your diet, avoid un-necessary intake.
