Lay them flat on their back and lift their feet up so they're above their heart's level, like on a chair. Give them water or V8 juice...v8 juice is good because it's high in salt.
How often does this happen? It could be numerous things. Such as Dysautonomia (blood pressure/heart rate), low iron, low potassium, not enough sleep, stress, anxiety, and so on.
I'd visit a family doctor. If you pass out a lot, or are dizzy a lot...I'd visit a cardiologist and ask to have a tilt table test done. Cause it could be Dysautonomia. For more info on it visit: http://www.dynakids.org/

If they have regained conciousness after 30 seconds, there's not much you can do. If this is a frequent occurrence, suggest to them that they see a doctor about it.

Have them tell their doctor. Passing out if only briefly is a symptom of some serious illnesses, including heart disease and Stroke, under-eating, and others. It is worth checking out;

It could be anything from simple fainting to seizures. He or she should have it checked out.
