I've read many forums where B12 injections help indivuals lose weight. But I can't find no where near me so I can talk to a physician about it. Help!!!

Hi DeAnna. I too am not familiar with any scientific evidence for this idea. I just did a quick search of the world's medical literature on Medline/Pubmed and found nothing to support this concept. You may want to insist on getting the scientific references that support this idea, but I suspect they do not exist.

As a side note, I get regular B12 injections by I.V. and have seen no effect on my weight.

I just looked this up in Earl Mindell's Vitamin Bible and there is no mention of B12 being useful for weight loss.

You can B12 supplements, just make sure it's sub-lingual as it is not assimilated well through the stomach. The dosage is 2mcg daily. Be sure to get the other B's as well.
