If the children are old enough, bringing a nice healthy snack for them to serve while dinner is getting ready. Or a simple dessert is always good. You might want to check if they eat dairy/eggs--are they vegetarian or vegan?
Simple flowers for the table is also very nice.

You might want to ask your hostess if there's anything you might bring, such as a dessert or something. If she/he says "no' then some flowers are in order. If your babies aren't into vegetarian cuisine, then bring something they can eat while there. Most kiddlings like mac and cheese and your hostess has probably already taken it into consideration. If you guys want some wine with dinner, by all means bring something.

As a nice thought you could take a lovely fruit and veggie platter. Some nicely cut up watermelon, rockmelon, strawberries, grapes, carrots, celery and maybe a dip or some cream cheese. Enjoy!

I see no problem with bringing wine, but you should check with the other parents. If they have concerns, you might discuss concealing the wine or transporting it in another container. If they're really uptight, abide by their rules (it's their house after all), then leave a little early for your favorite steakhouse.

Well, sounds like you'd better bring something you (parents) and your kids can all drink. How about a jug of lemonader or a 2-liter bottle of 7-Up?

Ask if you can bring a nice loaf of Italian Bread
Ask if anyone else will be drinking
If all else fails, then flowers would be great. Kudos to you for being so thoughtful. : )

I'd skip the alcohol...juices or sodas, flavored waters too..If you need food ideas I'd stick with fruits & veggies & special dips for them.
