Yes you can still give blood. Type 2 Diabetes cannot be passed from person to person except at the dinner table over many years. That is to say that this disease has a strong genetic and lifestyle component but absolutely no infectious component.

Your blood won't be harmful but you have to have a stable blood sugar to do it (at least in TN). Just keep working on controlling your blood sugar and if you want to give blood, you should be able too unless your state has other guidelines. I am a diabetic also, I admire your willingness to give blood, it is needed.

Yes you still can. If your blood sugar is high at the time you donate then most places can still use the blood for research.
