TOTALLY WORKS FOR FASTING! DON'T FORGET THOUGH, IT'S WATER, LEMON JUICE, PURE MAPLE SYRUP AND CAYENNE PEPPER! TASTES SURPRISINGLY GOOD, AND TOTALLY WORKS FOR A QUICK 10-12 lb WEIGHT LOSS. THE WEIGHT WILL LIKELY COME BACK THOUGH, JUST AS SOON AS YOU RETURN TO YOUR "NORMAL" EATING HABITS...GOOD LUCK!=)

I don't quite understand what you are asking. You would like to loose about 30 pounds...and you are wondering if that lemon juice and maple syrup diet is worth trying?
If that is the case, then no. I tried it for about a week and it drove me absolutely crazy. Plus if you think about it, only drinking that doesn't give your body the nutrients and vitamins that it needs.
My suggestion:
Cut back calories. Only eat about 1500 calories per day. This may not seem like a lot, but if you eat healthier foods you will be full. Add more salads, veggies, and fruit into your diet. I cut back maybe 2-3 weeks ago and have lost 6+ pounds. Remember, you aren't going to wake up the next day 30 pounds lighter...it is going to take some time. But if you have time and you can't or won't get yourself to the gym to exercise, then cutting back calories is a great way to loose weight. I also saw something on public tv about a week ago that said that if you cut back to 1500 calories per day you are more likely to live 15-30% longer. They did studies with different animals, parasites, and bacteria. And all of the scientists either started watching what they ate, or they cut back thier caloric intake.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

Ah-Ha. You are talking about the Master Cleanse or the "Lemonade Diet". I am putting the link below so you will have all the info you need. I read the Master Cleanse book by Stanley Burroughs two years ago and when I completed my first 10 day fast, had lost almost 30 pounds of fat. The cleanse will flush your colon and tissues of toxins...including fat.
It is WAY worth looking into. There is also a neat yahoo group over the Master Cleanse: (it is called mastercleanse)
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/mastercleanse/?yguid=261001587
ALSO..it is important for everyone to know..that if you go right back to eating bad (fast/junk food) and a sedentary lifestyle after a cleanse, you will gain back the weight as well as the toxins (candida). You will need to exercise and eat healthy.
:)

Sure, you could lose weight. But, I GUARANTEE you that all of your weight will come back on once you quit the diet (maybe even more, too!).
And trust me, you'll binge too, cause really, who wants a liquid diet?
Yuck! I'll take some real food, please.
