This is not the sort of question you want answered on Y!A. Sometimes advice here is really bad. Anyone at any age can have heart problems. You need to see your doctor and I suggest you do it ASAP

My husband (33 at the time) was held overnight in the hospital due to chest pain and arm/back pain. He has had chest pain before, but never like that. After ekgs/chest xray/stress test with dye/ and an echocardiogram.....they made the diagnosis of musculoskeletal problem.
We have researched a bit online and feel that precordial catch syndrome is the most likely culprit. It's chest pain caused by a pinched nerve.
It could also be acid reflux or stomach problems. I have severe acid reflux with frequent chest pain that radiates to my back and arm.
Just make sure the drs were thorough and make a follow up appt with your regular dr.
Good Luck

Funny I had something similar without the arm pain. I had EKG, treadmill and ultrasound and they have found nothing. That was last year and I still get pain at night mostly and sometimes I feel like I cant breathe and I get winded when I am talking say on the phone while going up and down stairs etc... While exercising I do not have any pain. I asked the Dr. and she thinks the pain is stress related since it is mostly at night when I am relaxing. I am still worried that it is something wrong with my heart. Maybe yours is stress related. I feel for you I know how scary this is and it makes it worse when you hear about someone our age dropping dead. Good luck hope it is nothing.

I was in your position a month ago but mine was a massive acid reflux. and the cause of my acid reflux? Anxiety and stress. Maybe yours is too. I felt better as soon as I got to the emergency room but they found nothing wrong with me. I was there for more than 6 hours just lying in bed.It was terrible.
Go online, look up stress and anxiety and symptoms. Just see if you have some of the symptoms I mean it's better to have anxiety than heart problem right? Good luck

I spent about 16 hours with the same circumstances.

It may have been indigestion. However, you are almost never too young to have cardiovascular problems. Say over 7 years of age.

Most people do not eat a caveman kind of diet which is known to be healthy. They eat some junk food: white bread, sugar, sweets, cakes, biscuits, jam, marmalade, honey...

Most people eat one third the fibre that people used to eat.

There are other risk factors e.g. salt, lack of exercise, stress, smoking, and genetic factors.

In Ireland, excellent health leaflets are available free in any pharmacy.

Did they check you for pluerisy? Or did they check you for Pnemonia? If you said right side I'd think it could of been your gall bladder, I know from experience, how painful it can be to be in pain and not know the reason. I'm sure it isn't your heart, they should of been able to detect something wrong in the test they ran, but go to your doctor tomorrow and have them put you at ease by answering your concerns.

My neighbor has the same type of symptoms. Every time she gets them she goes to the ER where they can't find anything wrong. She's eventually been told to suffer from anxiety attacks and she is trying to manage them with deep breathing and meditation rather than pharmaceuticals. I'd find myself a good internist and see if he can help. Best wishes.

EVERYTHING you just listed sounds like the heart. BUT Since the hospital discharged you I'd say that you OK for now. BUT first thing in the morning I'd go see a heart specialist.

It could be anxiety that can cause actual physical symptoms. Have you been under any extra stress lately?
Something else to consider is general muscle pain. Have you exerted yourself physically?
