yes they turn yellow, if you want to ripen them quickly, get a piece of cloth and wrap the banana and hide in dry and dark place, check every two days until it reach the suitable ripeness.

I was just reading Good Things Martha Stewart Magazine and they have a mini article on speeding up the process to ripen fruit. If you place your green bananas in a paper bag, fold down the top and seal it with a clothespin, the natural gas that comes from the fruit should ripen it within a day or so. Keep an eye on it though because you don't want them to ripen too fast. If they do, you could always make banana bread.

only eat the yellow bananas (not like the snow)
they have a lot of potasium and are very healthy for you .
I got about 8 varieties in the garden

Never put them in the fridge, in the microwave or near citrus fruit.
That said, I suggest you wait a day or two until they turn yellow. Store them in room temperature.
