Like the others said, its best to go see a doctor specializing in the heart. They will then do an EKG and probably have you wear what's called a Halter Monitor for a few days. A Halter Monitor is just a little box that is attached to some electrodes on your chest that will monitor different functions of your heart over that span of time. Don't take any chances when it comes to your heart health. There really is no way to tell what it is without the proper tests.

Best suggestion is to go the the nearest ER and have your self checked. A number of things can cause rapid heart rates, one of them is a recent Heart attack.

You need to go to the ER or a doc immediately. I had that and thought I was having a heart attack, but thankfully it turned out to be palpitations. There's meds the docs can prescribe if that's what it is.
Go now. Don't f**k with your heart.

It's stress--anxiety--too much coffee--lack of good sleep--and not enough nutrition. You should relax. If it continues, go see a doctor. I had the same problem and went to a doctor and told me that i'm not getting enough sleep, nutrition, and in addition to that, I was stressed from school work. He gave me vitamins to supplement my nutrition.

It's not normal. Go see a cardiologist or electrophysiologist (specialized cardiologist) immediately.
