Handshaking and hugging seem to be relatively safe, as long as you keep your clothes on.

Next is a truly monogamous relationship, although trusting that it has been at least seven years (generally considered a "safe" estimate for the manifestation of any problems) since there has been anyone else is a good bit of trust in some cases.

After that, what I like to call a "small circle of friends." You may interpret that any way you like, but my point is that if you are close with several other people, but they do not expand that circle of intimacy, then in terms of incubating a disease, I cannot see how it is more dangerous than the monogamous relationship. Again, it comes down to trust. That all are being equally cautious and not moving outside the circle.
