Warts are caused by the HPV virus. There are many different types, 21 I think. Only 4 cause cervical cancer. They are covered by the Guardisil vaccine that all 9-27 year old girls should get. They are little broccolli like stalks usually around the vagina, labia or rectal area. On men they are around the rectal area or on the penis, scrotum, etc.
The vaccine is covered by most insurances. It doesn't treat or prevent warts but it will keep them from turning into cervical cancer. Sometimes no treatment is needed for the warts. They will go away on their own. But you always carry the virus Othertimes if you just can't stand them or they interfere with your sex life or other things it is recommended that you have them removed. This can be done with cryotherapy (freezing) or with liquid based medicine (RX) in the privacy of your own home. There is always the chance that you will have a reoccurance, but not usually. It is contagious though, whether or not you are broke out. You can carry the virus for years, passing it on and not even knowing it.
The freezing medicine over the counter will not always work. Doesn't get cold enough. Don't waste your money. See your MD or NP.

warts... it's called HPV, human papilloma virus. Umm you can have the symptoms on the outside lips of the vagina, you will see the bumps or during an exam such as a pap smear the pap smear will come back abnormal. There are no blood tests to check and really no symptoms. It's a virus not a bacteria.
There are many ways to treat the exterior warts, creams, freezing, acid... but they may always come back. If the pap smear comes back abnormal, they will check to see what kind of virus you have... there are hundreds, there is a new vaccine that actually has a high rate of curing this. Depending on which one you have. But it's a virus, you have it.. you have it and you just need to treat it accordingly.
The safest thing to do is, go get your yearly check ups and always keep up on anything that doesnt look or feel normal. We know our bodies best.

Its HPV (in the same family of viruses that cause cervical cancer). Warts are the only symptoms ... usually hard masses found on the genitalia, often painless and flesh colored. Cervical dysplasia has no outward symptoms unless it has already progressed into cancer.
If you don't have the warts treated, they will continue to spread and you may end up with cervical dysplasia (if you don't already have it). Go to your gynecologist and they'll be able to treat you and assess your risks.

genital warts are a virus usually caused by the HPV virus. They are incurable, because they are a virus. There are medications out to help relieve symptons and minimize breakouts. But once you have genital warts you have them for life. Sometimes there are no visible symptons and then the virus is basically dormant but still contagious.

I think you are asking about genital warts. They are not fatal, but they are also not curable. Caused by a virus. See the link below.

I dont think there are any symptoms, that is why women have to get pap smears, I think that is the only way to find out if you have it. Also, I dont think there is a treatment. You have it forever once you get it.
