Your question isn't clear. Do you want to know what food one should take to for those who have high risk of heart attack? Or u want to know what foods causes heart attacks?
Well, numerous reasons for heart attacks but the most common one is blockage in the arteries caused mainly by cholesterol. I know there is a theory about the myth of cholesterol (check out our dear friend, Razwell).
Let's take it for now that high cholesterol does contribute to heart attacks.
So, foods to avoid would be high cholesterol and fatty foods.
But here's the truth, about 80% of the cholesterol in your body is manufactured from your body i.e. the liver. So, we must not only avoid certain foods but take some to address those that are already in our body.
Foods with high fibre and phytosterols are best, such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, beans, and whole grains.
Fibres help to absorb the cholesterol in the body and pass them out from the rear. Phytosterols help to 'fool' they body into thinking they are cholesterols, result in the liver producing less. The end result, less cholesterol in the bloodstream and therefore less chances of plaque build up to block the arteries and hence, less chance of heart attacks.
There are food supplements that help too. I know of one that I am taking and it works! Want to know more? Email me!
