Unfortunately, cats are one of the species that need meat in their diet. I'm not a cat expert, but I've read that they need a specific dietary element that can only be found in meat. (Can't think of the name at the moment, but if you go to the Pets section and ask, someone will tell you.)
So tell Fluffy that it can nosh on veggies all it wants, but meat is still going to be part of its diet. Just pretend that it's a seitan mousie and go from there.

Suspendor of Disbelief is right on the money, cats are carnivores and only carnivores, no veggies in a feline diet. If a cat eats grass, it's medicine for the tummy, not food.
Give your cat either cat food or raw flesh, but read more about raw feeding if you're gonna go that route. Don't just give it steak, 'cause that's not balanced. It needs organs, bones, skin, etc as well. If that's too gross, stick with kitty chow.

Some cats are semi-vegetarian mine is just while I was eating a bowl of oatmeal and almost
finished and my Kitty finished it off and meowed
as if to say thanks.. She then went to her dish
nibbled at the turkey and then drank a bit of water and went to rest. Don't force your cat to be a vegetarian. Look at the cat foods... U see some contain rice, some contain bran, some contain cheese. Obvious rice, bran and cheese
are okay for cats but they should have some meat cats are not ment to be vegetarian but if that's what your cat wants please your cat give her/him whatever she/him desires.

listen to all these cat experts.
CAT OF PREY.
first i think you should determine whether or not the cat is serious. a lot of people/animals do it based on social stigmas, fallacies such as; cow's have feelings, undercooked pork will kill you and/or madcowdisease, but end up coming back to meat a few weeks later. you don't want to buy a fridge full of vegetarian friendly food that'll end up in the garbage. it's expensive.
then just ask the cat what it wants. if it lists of crazy things like radicchio lentils arugula endive, laugh at it and buy some tomatoes and cilantro. it'll never know the difference.

Cats are not vegetarians. Its a cat of prey. Give the cat normal cat food as usual. If the cat was eating grass or something like that, it ate it, because it helps the cat to puke up the hair it swallowed while cleaning itself.

There are some veggie cat food companies on the internet. You might be able to order some online.

Cats can live very healthy lives as vegetarians. The people who have responded to this question saying that you will kill your cat are wrong! Veggie cat food is designed to give cats everything they need in their diet.

Dogs are omnivores. Cats are true carnivores. My cat used to love tomato but it always made him barf. Cats eat grass only to help them harf up a fur ball.
Maybe you're just pulling our legs, huh?
Cats do love a veggie now and then. Cantalope seems to be a treat for most cats.

Cat food. And do NOT force it to eat vegetarian. Cats are NOT vegetarians, or even omnivores. They are CARNIVORES, and a vegetarian diet will KILL it. Slowly, and painfully. If you're saying this because you saw it eating grass, that's to aid digestion. It's not food, it's medicine.

Cats are carnivores. Without meat in their diets, they will become deathly ill.
Cats, though, are not humans. And humans can do very well without any animal products of any type.
