As previously mentioned, protein is not a problem. Although, Vegans need to take some form of Vitamin 12, because it is not found in any of the food sources they eat.

the scam that's been going on for years.. that vegetables, fruits, nuts, grains.. so on doesn't have protein.

vegans get protein daily.

drink some orange juice, eat some nuts.. soy! read about vegan lifestyle and foods they eat.

there's not a protein shortage.

NOR a calcium shortage.

it's surprising those out there who believe this scam. there's more protein in nuts and grains than in meats.

and there's more calcium in spinach and broccoli than in milk.

i'm not saying don't eat meat.. i'm just saying that whole "where's the protein in vegetarians and vegans way of eating" is just a bunch of hooey, always has been.

I am a vegetarian by choice and I have couple of friends who are vegan. They take vitamins supplements (if need be) + they include a lot of green vegetables in their diet like salads + hi intake of soups which are rich in protein. It is very easy for a vegan diet to meet the recommendations for protein, as long as calorie intake is adequate.

protein you can get from a lot of sources " amino acids " your body has to convert them into protein for the body to use, but vegans are missing certain other micro nutrients that can only come from meat, its not just protein
