For Super Bowl Sunday, my girlfriends and I are gonna get together while the men are out doing their thing. We decided while we're at it, why not make it the girliest super bowl party ever! There's gonna be about 4 of us. Any neat ideas of food or drinks I should bring? Games?

Fyi, I do like football...I'm not just a girly-girl that knows nothing about the game.

Girly....Superbowl...excellent.

Boys - beers
Girly - champagne

Boys - chips & salsa, chili, sandwiches, etc.
Girly - shrimp salad, croissants, crudite, chocolates

Boys - betting on the score
Girly - voting for best a**, nicest smile, who you'd like to have babies with, best uniforms, and possibly the score...

You're the hostess...with a twist you could award a prize to the guest who is farthest away from getting the final right. (Of course you can't tell them that until AFTER they guess the final score.) The winner could walk away with a gift certificate for a massage.

Boys - high fives
Girly - manicures and pedicures - in team colors if you like!

Have a GREAT time. Wish I could attend.

Make some girly drinks like:

Malibu Bay Breeze.

Malibu Rum
Pineapple Juice
Splash of Cranberry juice

Have a winners pool. And here are a few Superbowl games to play:

Pass the Cup
One of the classic Super Bowl games to play is pass the cup. Goes like this: If I'm holding the cup, I put a dollar in. If I say "touchdown" then for each play that is not a touchdown, the cup gets passed and another dollar gets dropped in. When a touchdown is scored, the person holding the cup gets the cash. Whoever holds the cup can make the rule, so you can do first downs, field goals, whatever you like.

Fun Bets
Have some fun with the props picks as far as who will score first, score the most, win the coin flip - make up a list of 25 or so odd things that could happen and pass out the list before the game. Have everyone fill it out and assign point totals to each item on the list. People will be going crazier for their side bets than the game.

If you ask me, it was a rather boring game, and you didn't miss anything. You could have turned it on in the last quarter and got the entire gist of how things went. Actually the most "controversial" item in the program was when Christine Aguilar (idiot) messed up on the National Anthem. She sounded as bad as Roseann Barr did, when she "screeched" a bunch of years ago. SuperBowl has gone, full circle. What started out 45 years ago, as a way to decide what team was the Nations "best" ( and to put a little more "jingle" in the pockets of the players, owners and concessionares), From the 2 week long pre game "hype", to the 1/2 time "freak show" entertainment, like the "Black Eyed peas, leading the charge down the dumper. It even beat Janet Jackson, when she flipped one out, on stage, with a **wink wink, "wardrobe malfunction" (wthheck izzat ???) SB has become a money making joke and somebody better step up their game, or the sponsers are going to say adios, sayonara. Why pay in excess of 3 million for 30 seconds of face time, to a non existing audience.

margaritas blended with fresh fruit are always pretty and fabulous!

and don't forget dessert! Get some wicked little cake from a bakery with pink icing to top it all off.

I vote order in sushi or thai or something different so you don't have to do any cooking - and what's more girly than sitting around with a margarita waiting for the delivery boy ;)
