Plenty of poisons make people feel dizzy. It's trying to tell you that eventually it will kill them.

You're taking in burned tobacco containing tar and nicotine. Your lungs are used to processing only oxygen, and it's now having to process other chemicals as well. The reduced amount of oxygen in your blood is causing you to get dizzy. Soon, with the increased intake of nicotine, your body is going to reach a "comfortable" nicotine level. If you were to reduce your daily intake of nicotine, your body will begin to crave it, just like an addict craves heroin. Slang for that is a "nicotine fit".

Being a smoker since I was 13 ( I'm now 43 and have COPD ) I'd advise that you stop smoking. I know you like it, so do I, but it's a sure way to lung trouble, and trust me, you're not going to like it when you cannot breathe. Don't let people talk you into sticking with smoking. It's a hard and expensive habit to break. Take it from me.

Smoking disrupts the amount of oxygen in your body and causes the dizziness. I am a smoker and that warning sign is altogether gone for me - my body has adjusted to low levels of oxygen and the only indication of that is when I exercise and can't breath properly. I am trying to quit and it breaks my heart that despite all the info on smoking you have chosen to start. Stop while you can and listen to sound advise. Hope you do the right thing.

Nicotine is a downer, so especially if you have low blood pressure, anemia, if you have not eaten for a while, or if you've just eaten and blood is flowing to your stomach, you could feel dizzy.

Please please please please please quit while you can and it's easy. Please please. I have seen so many people as patients die because they smoked for years and one of the diseases they got was COPD, it's like suffocating slowly to your death.
My daughter was 22 and a smoker, ended up in the ICU on the ventilator fighting to breath, she was in there for 3 days and in the hospital for 11 days total with respiratory failure and without any history of problems. She now has severe asthma is on 3 different breathing medications as well as a nebulizer several times a day. She gave up smoking that day she had the tube shoved down her to help her breath, it scared her that bad and she valued her lungs even more. This was almost a year ago.

Please value your life.

Do yourself a favor and quit before you go any further. Do you want to end up not being able to breath? And being dizzy all the time???
